It is typically used on normal, combination, or oily skin that can tolerate depigmenting acids. Sensitive skin may react with dryness, stinging, or redness, so a patch test is advisable before regular use. Avoid use on broken, inflamed, or eczematous skin unless a dermatologist approves it.

It is intended for night use only. Daytime use increases the risk of irritation and worsening pigmentation because the formula contains exfoliating and pigment-modulating actives that can make skin more sun-sensitive. A broad-spectrum sunscreen should be applied every morning during treatment. If you experience persistent burning, peeling, or redness, reduce frequency or stop use and seek medical advice.
